About

Scriptural Conversations takes a closer look at the Bible one verse, phrase, story or difficult question at a time.

Each video shares an understanding of a passage and its context. And it isn’t a one-sided conversation: if you read a passage differently, your view is welcome, in the comments on YouTube or through the contact page.

What the conversations cover

  • Sayings of Jesus, such as “It is finished”, “Blessed are the poor in spirit” and “Let the dead bury their own dead”.
  • Puzzles from the Old Testament: Melchizedek, Enoch, the mark of Cain, Lot’s wife, Jacob wrestling with God, the sun standing still and Balaam’s donkey.
  • The Scriptures Jesus himself read and quoted.
